Emiko’s place is a short 15 minutes walk from Kawaguchi Station, that provides for an excellent, calm and interesting walk. The path is not short of convenient stores and food (excellent yakitori). The place itself is easy to find, clean and amenities are self-service, within 10-15 steps vicinity outside of your door. Hot water and an induction stove is available with the varying pots and pants. The only downside to this place is that the walls are very thin and sound bleed through the walls do occur. If the other neighboring guests are less accommodative, foot steps, laughter and talking can be heard even after soft hours (as mentioned in the rule book). Overall, this is my second time staying at Emiko’s place and repeat staying is in order if travel plans align and you do not mind traveling 30-40mins from Tokyo City Center to this lovely town.
